Making the Connection between Art & Healing
Nine of my paintings continue to be on display at Chilton Hospital in Pompton Plains. One of my favorites is “Sweet Escape,” & I included it because it suggests calm & also takes you on a mental journey of trying to smell the flowers & wondering where the stairs are leading you. This was based on a favorite scene from a trip to Greece several years ago, on the island of Parros, & I wanted to evoke the scent of exotic flowers & Greek food wafting from the jumble of houses along the narrow street.
